I don't think a credit check was run even though I paid $20. — Hello all. I applied for an apartment recently and paid the $20 credit check fee. I did not get the apartment and do not think I was even considered for it. I suspect a credit check was never run even though the agent collected the $20 from me. I asked him for my credit report via email and got no reply. Based on a Google search I don't think the agent is legally required to send me my report, unfortunately. However, I have two questions. How can I verify -- if I can -- whether or not a credit check was run? And two, if one was not run, am I entitled to a refund of $20? The fee is not an application fee, it's explicitly for a credit check. Thanks for any insight, advice.

Caramel Apple Loaf — This is my new favorite recipe! Perfect for fall. 100g starter 350g warm apple cider 500g all purpose flour 10g salt 10g cinnamon 1.5 honey crisp apples 1 small bag of sea salt favorite day brand caramels cut im thirds I mixed the initial dough and let sit for 1 hour. At 1 hour I added apples. Did 3 more sets of stretch and folds 30 min apart. I let it bulk ferment 5 hours. Once bulk fermented I laminated caramels into the dough. Rolled it up and placed in banneton. Left in the fridge overnight. Baked next day at 450 degrees for 30 min lid on, dropped temp to 425 and baked another 15 lid off. AMAZING

Holy sites flavor text in By God Alone — I really love flavor texts in the game that allow me to learn more about a particular thing in real life. One thing I was always missing in the base game is flavor descriptions of the holy sites. Sure I can Google it, but I enjoy reading curated snippets in game much more. Left IPad at TSA checkpoint — I left my IPad at the TSA checkpoint at Boston yesterday. I submitted the list and found form online and someone got back to me. However they are asking for my password to verify it’s my device. I’m reluctant to provide that to protect my personal data on that device. I’ve provided purchase receipts, pictures, and the find my location but it seems the password is their resolution. Has anyone had experience with this before? I tried giving them the serial number but Apple doesn’t print it on the back anymore.

Since updating my iphone to ios27, Google Health workout not showing in Apple Fitness — Hi all, as title suggests, I have a fitbit air and my workouts from Google Health had been syncing in Apple Fitness since the app updated a month ago. However, when I updated my ios to 27 last Sept 16, Fitness stopped picking up my workouts from google health. It’s still syncing steps though, and I checked all the permissions on the Health app. Anyone experiencing the same or have a fix?

A clean push through $774.78 could open the door back toward $779-$781. 👀 If $769.87 fails, I’d watch $766-$765 as the key support zone. Hold that and the breakout still has a chance. The strongest current support I have in the VS data is MA support at $660.86 — 45.3% 7D hold, 17.25% expected bounce, R:R 6.37. Warbrd-d lighter springs? — Couple of days ago I bought Warbrd-d base and Aero R grip, ordered from Simufy where both products were in stock and immediately available, Virpil site has both products on backorder. Now I have a problem - it's too stiff. I changed cams to cosmo - no center, loosened the dampers, and that's it, had to keep standard springs, because other springs in package are only stronger. I came from Winwing Ursa Minor (this is in fact copy of VKB Gladiator gimbal) and I was satisfied with this gimbal, I play only Elite Dangerous. The question is - can somebody recommend lighter springs which would be appropriate for Warbrd-D? Maybe standard springs are ok for heavier sticks, but cdt-aero is very light grip. Somewhere in the forums I found info about Warbrd (older model) and user wanted lighter springs and found them in Amazon, it was 1 x 10 x 40 hook spring (wire diameter, outer diameter, length). First four hours impression of Steam Frame from a PSVR2 PCVR guy. — TLDR: Really mixed bag, hoping we get a ton of support to iron out rough edges over next year. Would kill for drop in replacement microOLED panels. Burn the controllers with fire. General Use: * Coming from 600 HRS PSVR2 PC Adapter (Don't own PS5, maybe played 6 HRS of Batman on a borrowed Meta Quest 3). * Battery life sucks, however a usb-c cable comes in box that was the perfect length for a powerbank in my pocket. Worked really well at giving me 3.5 HRS of playtime. * The headset sucks at giving any indication that it is charging, charged, standby, etc. * The headset is extremely comfortable. Eisman just framed $META $27B Louisiana data center as an Enron style off-balance sheet vehicle in most recent podcast episode. Meta owns 20%. $OWL Blue Owl/Pimco own the rest. The SPV issued $27.3B of debt. Almost none of it sits on Meta’s balance sheet. Meta still leases it for 20 years, responsible for delays and overruns, and writes a residual value guarantee. Economic risk stays with Meta but not the debt. EY flagged it as a critical audit matter. As you know, I went bullish on $META for first time I've been on X on the day the big settlement was announced. My post below was a week or so prior to that. This one off balance sheet example is small, so it's not that this specifically is that concerning. I'm very familiar with what they're doing and as you can read, my concern is not that it's "Enron style" but rather, that valuation is not as low as many people think here when factoring in everything off balance sheet.

Uptober: BTC has closed green in 10 of the last 13 Octobers. But we've got a potential Fed hike on Oct 27 and 10Y yields over 5%. Does the pattern hold this year? — Just looking at the data, October has historically been one of BTC's strongest months. Green in 10 out of 13 years. But 2025 broke the streak with a \~4% loss, and this year we've got some serious macro headwinds. Fed meeting Oct 27-28 with markets pricing 65-70% chance of a rate hike, 10Y treasury yields above 5%, and BTC just got rejected hard at $87K. On the other hand, ETF inflows have been strong ($2.65B in the last 6 days), whale accumulation is insane, and exchange reserves are at all-time lows. Nvidia driver updates — Hi everyone. I've been unable to play the game for a while now (a bit more than a month) since Nvidia updated their driver. Version 616.56 made playing the game impossible. Nvidia has updated the driver a couple of times since, now running version 617.14, but the game still crashes like it did before. I tried: \- Launching the game in DX11 \- Lowering reflection textures from medium to low \- Turning off Smart App Control Within the CrashContext.runtime-xml file, it says GPU Crash Dump triggered. I can launch the game. However it crashes a few minutes later, everytime. I can change back to the old driver, but so far this is the only game that struggles with the current drivers. I might need the newer drivers to be able to play newer games. Anyone else having the same problem? Do we know if this driver problem will ever be fixed?

Grinding sound from suspension (surprise resolution) — Was driving on the freeway and went over a dip and heard a grinding sound from the passenger rear side like metal scraping. Pulled into a parking lot and heard the sound again when going over the speed bumps. Got out of the car and didn’t see anything obviously wrong and tried to rock the car but couldn’t recreate the sound. Tire pressures were normal so drove home and occasionally heard the grinding sound again when going over bigger dips in the road. Car still drove straight and smoothly otherwise. A few months ago car was at a Tesla collision center for cosmetic repairs due to malfunctioning automatic gate closing on that side. Insurance ended up replacing the wheels on that side and doing an alignment as well. Thought maybe that this was related even though the sound suddenly occurred. Tried to take some photos of the suspension and submitted a service ticket to get it checked out but appointment was two weeks away. Next mo…

Friday's low was 117.53, which missed the stop by 0.53. $MSTR 160C over 154, target 162, stop 148. High 171.19 Tuesday, target hit, never close to the stop. $MU 1100C over 1015, target 1097, stop 1000. Tagged 1097.25 Tuesday and 1108.72 Friday, target hit. $SNDK 1950C over 1812, target 1952, stop 1790. Triggered Monday at the open and broke the stop in the same session, low 1737.01. Stopped out. Three targets, one stop.

Micron ($MU ) is mainly a DRAM and HBM play. SanDisk ($SNDK ) is all about NAND storage. The DRAM ETF is basically a basket of Samsung, SK Hynix, Micron, and the other memory names. ARM benefits more indirectly through chip designs used in AI servers and devices. There was a sharp pop on Sep 21-22 — MU jumped about 5% that day, SNDK around 7% — then it gave some of it back and started chopping around, just like that post said. By Sep 25 it was still holding up in a high-level range. No real breakdown. The underlying story hasn’t changed: supply is tight and AI data-center demand is still strong. Micron reports on Sep 30. Street is looking for something like $51 billion in revenue with margins staying very high. Short term, this kind of extra volatility is pretty normal after a big run — valuations got stretched and people are taking profits. Medium term it still comes down to whether HBM and DRAM prices stay firm, and whether NAND demand keeps up with all the extra storage AI infer…

Returned a D780; should i buy again? — **TL,DR:** New D780 was defective, should I buy another? Last week I posted about a D780 I bought new. After shooting about 300 images on the SD cards, the camera became unresponsive: turning off/on had 30 second delays, focusing stopped, etc. I was unable to update the firmware ("PG UP" error, tried multiple cards.) Tried multiple cards, Lexar and Sandisk. Tried different batteries and lenses. I reformatted the cards. No matter what I did, I experienced the same series of errors: good until 300-ish images then wonky. Adorama had me send it back as defective. At the time I decided to just get a refund, but I'm wondering if maybe I should buy another one and try again. I had used the camera once (county fair) and I REALLY loved the images it was producing (until it went wonky.) My current bodies are a D7100 (grabshot and travel) and D810 (serious work.) I like the control setup of the D7100 better (I grew up with dials) but I love the …

Having issues with Licorice. Anyone else? — Hello all, I hope this post helps create discussion and helps those who are in a similar position as me. Prior to upgrading to Licorice, my experience had been perfect, I was able to download majority of my library to my SD card along with a few images for my wallpaper ideas. Reading was a breeze and all of my EPUB and XTC files ran smoothly, as of today with the new update, my device does not register my SD card. I am unsure if it is a formatting issue as it never gave me any issues with previous updates. I have a 64GB Sandisk I use for the device. After messing with it the last few hours, I am still unable to see any of my files from my SD card library. Best memory card for the Q3? — I used the Sandisk Extreme Pro 300 mb R/W xc2 V 90 (UHS-II) card in my Q2 which worked great. I bought the Q3 and I’m finding it much slower to write to the card now. (Yes I know they are larger file sizes). Is there a better card I should use for this model that’s a better fit? Thx

Suggestions across Instagram and Facebook — I understand that some people believe if you view someone’s profile frequently on Instagram that you may begin to show up in their suggested. However, I’m now wondering if that occurs cross-platforms into Facebook given both are Meta platforms (I don’t have the profiles officially linked in my accounts center, although it prompts me to). Does anyone think if you view someone frequently on insta that you will begin to appear on their suggested on both Instagram and Facebook?
