Is accounting software worth paying for? Here’s what I think — I’ve had some heated discussions with my founder friends as to whether accounting software is really worth paying for. I say “heated” because a lot of their companies needed a paid platform like yesterday, but they just didn’t see it. Honestly, though, it might be something that they need to learn firsthand (I know I did). But I wanted to break this down here in case it could help anyone out.  A lot of the time, this discussion is framed as spreadsheets vs. accounting software, but that oversimplifies things. That’s because “accounting software” isn’t a monolith. There are a range of choices, both free and paid. Arch is awesome for Linux newcomers — Arch is really easy to install and use, it's just tedious. You have to take your time researching, the vast majority of problems that you can ever stumple upon are already solved in some 2014 forum thread. And you'll actually learn Linux. No Linux Bible will ever make you learn as much as a couple of weeks of actively using Arch. While on other, more user-centered distros like Gentoo you learn more, but it comes with much less convenience than Arch. Arch is my first and likely forever distro. I had no previous Linux experience beforehand, and it's not like I was tech savvy on Windows. I never asked anyone for help except Google, had zero major issues and no unresolved problems with it from the very start almost 2 years ago. Using Arch always makes me feel content, it's an absolutely excellent distro. I Understand the AMD driver hate — Yesterday i booted up my **PC** to see "NO SIGNAL" i was like OK It might be lose cables so i tighten them nothing (Note: I haven't updated my drivers since 7 days ago they were working fine) so plugged in my HDMI cable into the motherboard INSTANT SIGNAL. this scared the shit out of me cuz i thought my GPU was fucked,so i entered my password and saw fuck you bitch the driver shat itself. so i reinstalled it and again it didn't work and i had to play on **INTEGRATED GRAPHICS** for the rest of the day PLUS I Had to play a **FORTNITE TOURNAMENT** (i lost). 4070 Ti Super 12vHPWR Connector- Not OEM — So, found a deal local got there to the meet, he didn’t have 12v connector that came with it. No biggie , it was much less than people are trying to get for these. He drove hour and half wasn’t gonna ask him for it, gas is $4 bucks a gallon 😢😢😢😡😡 The PSUs in my kids computers don’t have the 12vhpwr on it, so I need a squid. My removable cockpit — Hi everyone, I came across several posts wondering how to accommodate a decent setup without sacrificing a full desk permanently so I decided to share the solution I came with a few years back. Context: I live in a 2 BR apartment and can’t afford to use a dedicated room for my sim rig so I chose to take 2 regular desk mounts (the ones from Hikig on Amazon, no need to go the MonsterTech way) and I joined them with an aluminium horizontal bar to mount both MFDs and ICP (all from WinCtrl) on it. I attached a 7 port USB Hub behind the ICP so all devices are plugged in directly on the rig and I only have only 1 usb cable to connect to the PC. As the mounts come with a quick release system, the installation takes about 20 seconds: place the rig, tighten the latches on both side and connect the USB cable. It is IMO the best I can do to have a cockpit feeling while still being able to remove the whole thing with too much of a hassle. If you have any question, let …

Looking to buy first Tesla, need some advice — Looking at buying a Model 3, probably financing it instead of paying cash outright. Few questions for people who’ve done this recently: 1. Are there actually any rebates left in 2026? I know the federal $7,500 credit died on September 30, 2025, and California’s old CVRP rebate shut down way back in Nov 2023. How do I get my 128 GB SD card to be read on my Wii — I have a sandisk 128 gb sdxc card and the Wii won't read it anymore. The Wii itself says Nothing inserted and my homebrew apps don't show up. When I first used it I had to reformat it again with Rufus and then everything worked, but after transferring my roms it stopped working again. This time reformatting it doesn't help and I've been reformatting it to FAT32 with MBR and 32 KB cluster size. I've tested without any files or folders, but the Wii itself still doesn't read it and the Wii can read my 16 GB SDHC card

Still long $META and not trimming. I've been holding this from the high $500s and adding on dips, and the Muse launch is the clearest sign yet that the capex is turning into product. Nobody else has that distribution. They don't need to convince anyone to download a new app, the users are already there. The bigger point for me: this finally gives the market a way to see a return on the AI spend beyond ads. Subscriptions, shopping, transactions, all layered on top of the best ad machine in the world. Big fan of what Zuck is building. The stock has been stuck in a range most of the year and it's a very news-driven name, so I'm not expecting a straight line. But I think we have a lot more room for growth.

I started a $META position about 4 weeks ago in my options trading portfolio. It now sits alongside my $TSLA and $SPCX wheels. I started selling puts, which I rolled up multiple times. Earlier this week I decided to turn it into a wheel as well, and rolled closer to ATM, taking assignment a couple days ago. I looked at the expected move for today's expiration and sold calls at $800. Woke up this morning with a pretty sizeable gain in the calls due to the pullback this morning, so closed them out. Looked at the expected move for next Friday 10/2 after today's pullback, and sold $790 10/2 calls. After the initial pullback it's been chopping up and down (mostly down), so I bought and sold the calls about 3 more times this morning. I used Opus 5.5 and Astra to create this AI version of Pac-Man. — SORA-MAN is a tribute to the recently deceased Sora. What a fun way to start the day (RCM2_A202) — Yesterday morning, the airbag light came on for a second as I was getting out of the car and disappeared instantly. So I naturally booked an appointment, but did so for next week since I thought it was just a communication issue that resolved itself. Then it was on pretty much the entire time I was driving back home from work. Called Tesla to see if I could get an earlier appointment, and I was told to just bring it in without an appointment. So I brought it in this morning, and even though I didn't have an appointment, this somehow ended up being the best service experience I've had with them so far. They'll be changing the seat assembly, which they don't have in stock. And I got a loaner (another Model 3 -- at least it has FSD and free supercharging) since it's a safety issue. The moral of the story: bring your car in for service if the airbag light comes on even if it's intermittent.

This reclaim strengthens the current Gann structure, but there is still an unfilled gap at $154.02 that remains a potential downside magnet if price rotates back into the structure. $COIN weekly price is getting rejected from the lower arc, keeping the arc active as overhead resistance. The rising fan below is now the key structural support, with that ascending angle providing the next major test for the current geometry. Holding the fan would keep the bullish structure intact and could set up another rotation back toward the lower arc.

Back on the mods — Been a Vuse user for a few years, but always missed the fun side of vaping. Got a tooth pulled recently so I decided to get a new sub ohm tank with plenty of airflow so I could vape again after the minimum wait time. I've found a lot of my old stuff like my Tesla 2, Steel punk slug, tugboat tube and box mod, RDA's, and a few of the fun smok mods. Hate I cant really get coils for my old tanks but its not a big deal. Gotta say its fun to blow clouds again honestly. Also forgot how good the flavor is at a lower nicotine level.

What is the deal with bonds? — I'm a 36yo novice investor (just paddling around with VOO/VXUS for the time being), and I'm very confused by the apparent relationship between the stock market and the bond market which everybody else seems to understand. What is it about Treasury interest rates going up that would cause the stock market to drop? Perhaps I'm just being dumb (happens all the time), but I can't understand why a rising interest rate would evaporate a bunch of value when so many financial institutions are invested in keeping the market healthy. Also, I've repeatedly been told that the S&P 500 tends to outperform other bits of the market over time, so I guess I'm wondering: do bonds become a better buy than VOO-type stocks when interest rates hit some kind of inflection point? I'm not planning to sell my ETF holdings, but should I be diverting a percentage of the money I'm investing to buy some kind of bonds? Thanks a million for any advice!

Avoid Tesla Service Center in Tyco Rd. Damaged My Car — I wanted to share my recent experience at the Tesla Service Tysons Corner–Tyco Road location in Vienna, VA. I brought my Model 3 in for two issues: * A persistent creaking noise * A loose/rattling right C-pillar area The C-pillar issue was relatively easy to demonstrate. If I pressed/pushed the area by hand, it would squeak/rattle, and the right side felt noticeably different from the left. The technician came out with me to inspect the car. What would you consider to be a small/normal/big pull back/run up in TQQQ? — Newer to the TQQQ and leveraged ETF space. Familiar with the path dependency of these leveraged ETF (I.e. win loss order maters in overall return, and it’s now simply 3x whatever QQQ is). I’ve seen people in the sub mention “big red days” and other similar terms/phrases. I was wondering if people had classifications/groups on: 1. small “turbulent noise”. EzFlashJr boot loop — I have an EZFlashJr that I intended to play it on a stock Gameboy pocket. I have tried 3 sd cards, a generic 8gb micro sd, a 16 gb sandisk ultra sdhc, and a 32gb lexar sd card. Everytime I enter the cartridge into the Gameboy and power on, it just boot loops. The 8gb sd works occasionally though and it never boot loops when I put the cartridge in without an sd card. Bought the Dip - Staying Invested — Futures are up this morning and the market looks like it wants to keep going. Rates are still creeping higher. The data is still coming in strong. Jobs look healthy, and the PMI print earlier this week was 58.7, about 3 points over the estimate, which is part of why yields have been moving. The Fed is still expected to raise again in October. Monday I started about 43% long and finished the day about 33%. Then I got back to 50%, then 65%, and I closed yesterday over 80% long. I am going to try to stay invested. I am not sure I stay at 80%. Some exits will probably hit today, and I will look to put that cash back to work.
