The S&P is near record highs… but its forward P/E just fell to the lowest since 2023. What’s going on? — The S&P 500 closed at 7,743 today, up 0.5% and still sitting near record territory. But here’s the weird part: it’s now trading at just under 19x forward earnings — the lowest valuation multiple since 2023. Earnings estimates, especially from the big AI names, have been rising faster than the index itself. The market underneath isn’t exactly screaming broad bull market either. The Nasdaq had 54 new 52-week highs today… and 175 new lows. Microsoft rallied 3.7%, Qualcomm +4%, Dell +5%, while a lot of the rest of the market did basically nothing. So which is it: are stocks actually getting cheaper because earnings are catching up, or are analysts simply getting too aggressive with future earnings estimates? Buying a 0DTE (Zero Days To Expiration) option on $SPY when the market is calm is closer to buying a lottery ticket with a mathematically guaranteed negative edge than it is to trading. Here is the brutal arithmetic: in the final hours before expiration, theta (time decay) accelerates at its fastest rate while gamma (the rate of change of delta) only pays off if the underlying makes a move large enough to overcome the premium you paid, and on most low-volatility days that move simply never comes. An ATM (At The Money) 0DTE option might look cheap at 50 cents, but if Implied Volatility is pricing in a 40-point daily range and the actual move is 15 points, you just bought something that expires worthless despite the market moving in your favor. $SPX Last two FOMC's in Oct and Dec visualized. Some things to keep in mind: 1) All 6 FOMC's this year on the 2nd day when they announce rate hikes or not, the SPX was red that day. 4 of the 6 were quite large red days too. 2) Notice 5 of the 6 FOMC's (ex April's) we had either a dip heading into the FOMC or we had a dip post FOMC. Meaning there's volatility surround the event. April was the only one where it just kept trending higher pre and post FOMC. 3) November is a super strong bullish month. And I wouldn't really want to get ahead of the Santa Rally / Post T-Giving rally either. 4) Which basically means there is only a window left next month. October or bust for the bears for rest of 2026.

I built CuQwen, a CUDA based inference engine for running Qwen models fast on a single GPU — For the last while I've been building CuQwen, a C++/CUDA inference engine for Qwen models written completely from scratch. No PyTorch, no existing runtime, just custom CUDA kernels I wrote and profiled myself. I wanted to see how fast a single user (batch size 1) can go on a normal consumer NVIDIA GPU, the kind of thing you'd actually run locally. Updated drivers and now game crashes on startup while still insisting it is running. — On a lenovo laptop with nvidia, game worked fine this morning but once I update my drivers and now it crashes on startup, steam still insists its running and an instance is in task manager. I have maybe 12 to 15 mods installed but I dont really believe thats the problem because again I just updated my driver. One more thing, I didnt have enough space when I initially installed the driver update so I made space and retired several times and it seemed to work but that could also be the issue.

I’m 24, is fire in the cards for me? — 24F here. Is FIRE realistically in the cards for me? I’m 24 and currently have a little over $46,000 invested. About $16,000 is in my Roth IRA and $30,000 is in a regular taxable brokerage account. I’m mostly invested in FXAIX (S&P 500) with some VXUS. I have $10,000 in emergency fund. I have no debt and I don’t pay rent. I’m inheriting around $100,000 because a relative I was close to passed away recently and left me a portion of one of their accounts. Obviously I’d rather have them here, so I’m trying to be responsible with the money and make the most of what they left me. I’m currently in nursing school and graduate next year, so my income should increase significantly once I become an RN. I also have a 4 year old, and I know FIRE with a kid is pretty hard. Does FIRE seem realistically achievable from where I’m starting at 24?

I just wanted to share some SA rules I have found that help me trade flags, and pullbacks similar to Kristjan, Martin, Pradeep, Oliver and Monis. As you may know, trading is much more complex than internet guides suggest, so here are the rules where I tend to do best. All rules are QQQ, but if you’re trading something like NUGT or UCO you would want to use a more relevant etf like GDX, SLV or USO. 10>20>50>100>200. Muse is hella creepy but huge W for Meta — I am 1000% sure that this little dude is going to cook all of us, BUT Meta is up 33% over the last month so I guess it is what it is. Fundamentally tho, I still think its a good buy atm, as price targets are up to $995, and if Meta can hold what is basically a monoply on the personal AI assistant for retail consumers (there is none other that is widely used and that people like in my opinion), they could be looking at $50 billion. dollars of annual revenue. All that being said, I have to imagine that it would not be that hard for OpenAI or Claude to develop something similar, it really just matters what type of integrations it would have and if they can catch up to the (maybe) moat that Meta will have by starting first... I've tried Muse, it didn't blow my mind but I did find it a little helpful so, not really sure what the outcome will be here. What are people thinking?

How could've this trade been better? Puts on QQQ today 9/25 — This is the 5 minute chart for QQQ today. VWAP is dashed red line, purple is 9ema, blue is 21ema. The green circle is where I bought a put, red circle is where I sold them at break even. I'm still paper trading because I'm not ready yet. My thesis was bearish. A large red candle broke through both VWAP and 9ema around 10am. Price consolidated a little and bounced off 9ema (purple), so I bought puts, it seemed to have momentum. Price went lower, then reversed upward, but I saw a 9/21ema cross so I was still bearish. I thought it might retest 9ema again before going lower. The downward move went from 745 to 740, a fairly big move which I didn't capitalize on any of it. I would love any feedback as to how to improve my trading/mindset. Cheers!

TradingView Performance Discrepancies — Anyone else noticed discrepancies in performance (1D, 5D, 1M, 3M, etc) in TradingView between the mobile app and desktop, or either mobile/desktop to other sources (broker, Yahoo, Apple stocks, etc)? I'm trying to understand how the app shows one 5D percentage and the desktop site shows a completely different percentage. To clarify, this isn't be an issue caused by refresh timing/stale data. It's a materially different value (i.e. NBIS 5D: iphone app shows +5.48%, site shows +9.32%; SNDK 5D: app shows -2.64%, site shows +9.34%). I can back into the % shown on the app, but the site just seems flat out wrong unless I'm missing something. What am I missing?
